My love for beauty and skincare has led me to create CosmeticsByCortney.com. Ultimately, CBC is about confidence and individuality. I started Cosmetics By Cortney to share my DIY beauty tips, Product Reviews and to help build a better community outlook on self worth. I believe we should embrace who we are and what we look like; Too many of us bend and mold to fit an image we never really wanted in the first place. I love to wear makeup and play with color, but i’m much more about playing up a feature you like on yourself, as opposed to hiding a “flaw”.
I don’t just write about cosmetics used on the skin though. I’m also very passionate about Apartment/ Home Decor, News, and Our Societies Perception of Women. So rest assured, there’s never a dull moment!
I think it’s important for people to know exactly what they are putting on their skin and ultimately, in to their bodies. This is why I created our Sheer page.

I like to promote products that are safe and effective. That being said, i’m always honest in my reviews here. If a multi-million dollar company makes a product I don’t like- i’m not going to sugar coat the truth.
